With the changes in the Energy Codes, and Building Codes it's no longer a simple matter of looking at a floor plan or a set of elevations and quoting a price.

• We are now required to comply with Washington State's 2009 Energy Code. This code requires storefronts to have a minimum system U Value of .40. New is the requirement of storefront doors to have
a minimum system U Value of .60. In order to meet these new requirements the storefront doors must be thermal break in design. Both of these require High Performance Low E Insulated Glass
• The City Of Seattle requires the Storefronts to have a system U Value of .38, which requires the addition of argon and in some instances super spacer to the Insulated Glass

• In some Instances the performance specifications will require a S.H.G.C. of  less than .38. This will require the addition of a tinted glass or changing from Solar Ban 60 on Clear to Solar Ban 70.
